Trailers.

So I went to the movies last night, and I saw three trailers.
The first trailer was for a film called The Zookeeper. It seems to be the "story" of a zookeeper who comes to work one morning, or evening, or sometime, and all the animals can talk. And he freaks out. And that's it. There's no story there. Maybe the film does have a story, though I suspect it doesn't, not really. But is this what passes for a trailer now? There was no suggestion of a story, there was a couple of "gags", and that was it. Am I expected to go see this movie based on that?
The other two trailers were better, but I can't even remember now what they were.
This rant really isn't going anywhere.

As you know, I'm constantly annoyed at trailers that tell you too much...

I assume you don't mean this movie: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z75b19HbpL8 This movie looks pretty good.

I found the zookeeper movie... I think for a kids movie that is enough... kids don't understand all that stuff that apparently is essential... ie. plot, characters, a baddie, stakes, a ticking bomb. They care about the dumb things... ie... talking animals, dancing animals, someone getting hit in the nuts.

I assume your not the target market of this film...

Seems like there promoting a multiple time dimention theory because I swear that little chipmunk thing got frozen in the past and washed up on a beach in fiji or something.
